Grounded Reiki for people
who don’t want spiritual theatre.
So, what is reiki?
Calm support for when life feels a bit much
Sometimes life is just… a lot. You’re tired, overstimulated, emotionally wrung out, or carrying more than you should be. Reiki can help by giving your body and nervous system a chance to slow down and reset.
My approach to Reiki is straightforward and grounded - No spiritual performance, no pressure to believe anything, and no expectation that you’ll have some kind of dramatic experience. Sessions are calm, quiet, and focused on helping you feel a bit more settled than when you arrived.
I offer mobile in-person Reiki across Nottinghamshire, based in Mansfield, as well as distant Reiki sessions worldwide.
What you can expect
A calm, unhurried session
A practical, no-nonsense approach
No “fixing”, analysing, or pep talks
A chance to properly rest without having to explain yourself
You don’t need any experience with Reiki.
You don’t need to be “spiritual”.
You don’t even need to be in a good mood.
Turning up is enough.
Reiki Sessions
In-Person Reiki
(mobile across Nottinghamshire)
In-person sessions take place in your own home. A reiki session usually consists of you laying down on a massage bed for an hour of ‘me time’, it’s a hands-on session held in a quiet, supportive space.
Most people find sessions deeply relaxing and grounding. Some feel lighter afterwards, some feel calmer, some just enjoy having an hour where nobody needs anything from them.
Your first session usually lasts longer as we will take time to go through your consent form and any medical history you may have. You can expect this session to last around 2 hours give or take.
With medical conditions, sometimes you may require more than one treatment. I discount these follow up sessions so that you can benefit the most from your invested time and money (see packages below).
Initial session (60 minutes): £40
Best if it’s your first Reiki session, or if it’s been a while. We’ll have a brief check-in and then you can lie down and switch off.
Single follow-up session (60 minutes): £35
For returning clients who want occasional support without committing to a package.
Distant Reiki (Remote Sessions)
Distant Reiki is exactly what it sounds like: the session happens without you needing to be physically there. It works well if you want regular grounding, live further away, or just can’t face people that day.
30-minute session: £22
A shorter session that’s ideal if you want something gentle and manageable.
60-minute session: £33
A bit more spacious if you want to properly settle in.
Available anywhere.

How I Found
Reiki
I practise Reiki in a grounded, no-nonsense way, shaped by both lived experience and traditional Japanese training. I’m not here to fix anyone or offer spiritual theatrics, just steady support for when life feels a bit much.
-
I’ve struggled with my mental health from a young age and was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, a chronic pain condition, when I was 15. Between that, a fair amount of life chaos, and being someone who feels things deeply, I spent many years stuck in a near-constant state of stress, worry, and exhaustion.
A few years ago, a friend asked me to try a Reiki session with her. It was Western Reiki, and I went in with curiosity rather than expectation. I remember walking out feeling noticeably lighter and calmer than I had in a long time. Over a few sessions, the practitioner mentioned that I seemed particularly receptive to the work and suggested I might want to learn Reiki myself.
True to form, I couldn’t just learn Reiki anywhere. I wanted to understand Reiki as close to its roots as possible, so I specifically sought out traditional Japanese Reiki, where the practice originates.
That search led me to training in Usui Reiki Ryōhō through the International House of Reiki, and later to deeper study connected with Jikiden Reiki and the Arjava Reiki Institute.
I was also fortunate to spend time learning in Greece with Frank Arjava Petter, a well-known Reiki author and researcher, on his olive groves in Lesvos. I’ve returned several times since, because it’s a rare kind of learning environment: grounded, generous, and focused on practice rather than performance.
Since finding Reiki, I’ve become the calmest version of myself I’ve ever known. Life didn’t suddenly stop being difficult, but I’m far less reactive, less overwhelmed, and much better at resting when I need to. Reiki gave me a way to slow my nervous system down and reconnect with myself when everything felt like too much.
That’s what I aim to offer others now. Not big promises or spiritual theatrics, just steady, grounded support.
Put simply: Reiki might help. And if nothing else, it’s an hour you’ve given yourself to properly rest. Sometimes, that alone is enough.
